Paula Gibson is the co-owner and co-founder of Brighter Futures Therapy Center. She has been an Occupational Therapist for nearly two decades and has worked with clients across the life span. For Paula, it has been a privilege and an honor to have the opportunity to work with clients and families in our community and surrounding communities and to be a part of improving function, independence, quality and success with daily life engagement.
Dana graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a master’s degree in Communication Disorders- Speech Pathology as well as a Rank l in Communication Disorders and Director of Special Education Certification. Dana started Lake Cumberland Child Development in 1999 and has continued as a Pediatric Speech Therapist and Primary Evaluator from 1995-present. Currently, she is the Chairmen of District Early Intervention Committee and the CO-Owner and CO-founder of Brighter Futures Therapy Center.
M.Ed., PBS Benny graduated with a Maters Degree in Education from Asbury University, He has 15 years experience working with children with disabilities. He enjoys helping children with both behavior and learning disabilities develop skills to find success and happiness in life.
MS.,PBS Alan Brashear is a Positive Behavior Support Specialist at Brighter Futures Therapy Center. He received his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Kentucky University. Alan has forty years of experience working with special needs adults and children. He appreciates the opportunity to be able to help individuals gain a sense of independence.
PBS Eric Burton is a Positive Behavior Supports Specialist at Brighter Futures Therapy Center. Eric received his Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University. Eric went on to receive M. Ed. degrees in both Educational Administration and Special Education with an emphasis on Learning Behavior Disorders. Eric enjoys working with clients to ensure they achieve healthy, independent lives.
PT Morgan graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2007 with a Masters in Science of Physical Therapy degree. Morgan has a special interest in neurological disorders and disease and has practiced in a variety of settings. Morgan is interested in growing her knowledge and clinical experience to better help kids as well as adults to reach their goals to live life to the fullest.
OTR/L Kasey Collette received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. Kasey enjoys helping individuals of all ages achieve independence, meaning, and satisfaction in all aspects of their lives despite limitations and or challenges. Kasey loves to create fun filled therapy sessions to help individuals flourish and strives to help all individuals live life to the fullest by helping them build necessary skills to participate fully in school and the community.
MA-CCC/SLP Rachel Dalton is a Speech-Language Pathologist that graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Masters and Rank 1 in Communication Disorders. She has worked with children that have articulation, language, voice or fluency disorders in the public schools for 12 years. Rachel has also worked with individuals from birth to adults with mild to severe speech and language disabilities.
M.Ed., PBS Barbey is a graduate of Lindsey Wilson School of Professional Counseling. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in mental health counseling she went on to obtain a M. Ed. in Counselor Education and then received autism training from CPI Institute. Barbey enjoys working with clients of all ages. She has an animated personality that keeps learning fun but structured.
M. Ed., PBS Stephanie received a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education from Eastern Kentucky University. She went on to pursue certification in K-12 Learning and Behavior Disorders as well as a Master's degree in Professional School Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. She has 12 years of experience working with students of all ages with challenging behaviors and enjoys helping them develop skills that empower them to become successful, happy individuals.
M.A., CF-SLP Brittany Gaines is a Speech-Language Pathologist that graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Master of Arts and a Rank 1 in Communication Disorders. Brittany has experience working with both adults and children with mild-severe disabilities. She loves working with children and has a true passion for this field.
PTA Jacinda Gossage is a Physical Therapist Assistant who has enjoyed working at Brighter Futures Therapy Center since March of 2015. Jacinda graduated from Somerset Community College with an Associate degree in Applied Science. She has extensive experience with pediatrics.
PBS, Registered Dietician Linda Henderlight currently teaches young adults in public high school. However, she also works with all ages in a variety of settings. Linda is a Registered Dietitian, and has her Rank 1 in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education. Linda enjoys using her combined experiences when working at Brighter Futures Therapy Center.
M.A.,PBS Melissa Keeney is a special education teacher of moderate to severe disabilities for the Pulaski County School System and provides positive behavior supports part-time for BFTC. Melissa received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees in elementary education, Rank 1 in educational administration, and certification in moderate to severe disabilities from Eastern Kentucky University. Along with teaching, Melissa has received certification as a supported employment specialist.
M.A., CF-SLP Charissa Burkett is a Speech-Language Pathologist that graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Masters of Arts in Communication Disorders. Charissa enjoys working with both children and adults with various communication disorders. She looks forward to expanding her experience and passion for communication disorders here at Brighter Futures.
M. Ed., PBS Anna graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Arts in Elementary Education and Learning Behavior Disorders as well as a Masters of Arts in Interdisciplinary Early Childhood Education with an Autism Certificate emphasis. LPCC Jaclyn Criswell graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling. She a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor as well as a positive behavior support specialist for Brighter Futures Therapy Center. Jaclyn enjoys working with individuals with all ages and abilities!
OTR/L Elizabeth Miller is an occupational therapist that graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, where she received a Master’s of Science in Occupational Therapy Degree. Elizabeth enjoys working with her clients for the moment when their faces light up after achieving something they’ve worked so hard for. Children are her passion and no matter what goal she is working on, she strives to make each session fun for each child, while also helping them gain confidence in their abilities.
OTR/L Bridgett Miracle received her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Eastern Kentucky University. Bridgett enjoys helping individuals and families overcome obstacles to promote independence within their daily routine. She strives to help all clients realize their potential and loves seeing them build confidence while also having fun during therapy! She will be expanding her knowledge and skills pertaining to her interest in reflex integration and sensory processing disorders.
